The "Music Forum" completes our long-time efforts to create a website for the exchange of information, ideas and points of view between researchers and friends of music, aiming mainly at promoting and developing music both as science and as art.
This site is addressed to everyone interested in musical issues on a national and international level; this is the reason why it is presented both in Greek and in English.
On the "Music Forum" you can find original scientific texts of musicological content, such as analyses, articles, studies, learning methods, compositions etc..
It also includes information about music activities, releases of books and records, competitions, seminars, conferences and other events focusing on music.
The "Music Forum", continuing the tradition of the "Music Movement", the pioneering musicological magazine that was published from 1949 to 1956, works as a linchpin between past, present and future, taking advantage of the opportunities provided by new technologies and bringing together all the people who are interested in music, thus breaking all time and ground boundaries.
Our vision is to make "Music Forum" operate as a place of dialogue and fruitful speculation, offering all participants the opportunity to express and promote their ideas and work. |
